Make sure you grab a stencil kit, which contains the four stencils and pounce pad we are using to learn the four basic stitches. It’s a simple, wiggly line meandering across the quilt. I love to use it whenever I want to make the quilting look whimsical. It is an incredibly versatile stitch that can be customized dozens of ways to make it look different depending on what your quilt calls for. But, to be honest it’s a lot like learning to ride a bike. I’d like to tell you that free-motion quilting on a domestic sewing machine is easy peasy, just pick up and go.
